In other news, I have been assembling my Quilty 365 blocks more rapidly than I thought possible. I started assembling on Monday evening and I'm halfway through already!
I decided to set them in chronological order in sets of 30 - kind of like a calendar page. The RSC color of the month often influenced which fabric got chosen on any given day, although apparently not often enough you'd be able to guess that month's color by looking at my blocks!
My plan is for narrow, neutral sashing between the 30 block sets. Right now I'm auditioning 2 different gray fabrics. The one on the right is a Riley Blake Blender and it's a bit on the taupe-y side. The gray on the left is a Grunge fabric from Moda and definitely reads as more of a true gray. I'm leaning more toward the Riley Blake right now...
Your AQUA Windblown Wishes are gorgeous!! I'm leaning toward the rosy glow of your current top choice for the sashing of your Quilty 365 project. Either way, it's going to be a cozy quilt!
ReplyDeleteThat Windblown wishes is an interesting block. What a good idea to group the circles into a calendar setting. Either grey will work. Depends on whether you want to warm things up or keep them cool.
ReplyDeleteYour circles look wonderful. I like the one on the right too. Neat idea to do them like the calendar.
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering if you were ok, after the storms. Sorry I didn't contact you (bad me, despite a stressful week).
ReplyDeleteLOVE the aqua blocks, but then again, I could hardly be impartial could I? LOL
ReplyDeleteThe circles are so fun, and they are even better all together! I am sure they will be great whichever sashing you choose. It would be hard to go wrong with those.
Your aqua blocks look great! Love them. Your quilty 365 blocks are looking amazing together. I prefer the taupe grey as well for the sashing.
ReplyDeleteYour Windblown Wishes blocks are beautiful in the aqua, but I imagine they will be beautiful in any color! I'm so impressed with your Quilty 365 blocks, too. What an amazing quilt that will be!
ReplyDeleteWindblown Wishes is so appropriate in that iceberg color, with the weather playing tricks everywhere. Have a good week finishing the circles.
ReplyDeleteYour quilty 365 is going to be a very special quilt. Pretty wishes blocks.
ReplyDeleteThe wishes blocks are quite pretty and it sounds fun to be revisiting all of your pretty circles :)
ReplyDeleteI am liking the windblown blocks a lot!
ReplyDeleteYour 365 circles look great and I like your setting idea. Looking forward to seeing them all together :)
ReplyDeleteAs someone who had to use teal stash this month due to a lack of scraps, I maintain that stash is just future scraps! ;) Love your circles! That quilt is going to look great!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty aqua wishes! Your 365 calendar is coming along so well. I too have enhanced a bunch over the last few years but the scraps don't seem to be going down much.
ReplyDeleteWindblown Wishes is a great block to use for your RSC. It had lots of pieces to use lots of different scraps. Then your 365 circles are stunning. They look so good altogether. And yes, you've got to have a big stash in order to have scrappy scraps.
ReplyDeleteI like the Riley Blake blender from what I can see online. Love seeing the circles coming together.
ReplyDeleteyour circles are awesome. Your idea to set in groups of 30 is so graphic and neat.
ReplyDeletepretty aqua blocks!
Love the Windblown Wishes (nice name). And do you want me to send you my 366 circles to sew together? (I'm not fond of assembling tops!)
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of that aqua up here in all this snow! They are beautiful. Love the Quilty 365 progress. Looking forward to seeing it at the May link up.
ReplyDeleteI love those aqua blocks and the Quilty 365 is going to make a beautiful quilt.
