RSC 15: Purple Sugar Bowl

Two purple Sugar Bowl blocks were added to the RSC collection.  I'm thinking of Depression Glass as I make these blocks.
A Depression Glass quilt is probably easier and cheaper than building a Depression Glass collection, right?

I wrote a tutorial for constructing the Sugar Bowl block, if this one is tempting you!

For more purple scrappy inspiration, Angela's Soscrappy blog will have a host of ideas to tempt you.

  1. I do love those Sugar Bowl blocks! Are you going to set them on point as shown? And I agree--that Depression glass bowl is awesome!

  2. THANKS for the tutorial (and yes, the quilt is cheaper than a collection of real Depression glass).

  3. So pretty. They do suggest cut glass. Fabric is a much easier collection to keep than glass -- less dusting.

  12. I've never been able to buy all the Depression glass I've wanted. Your idea to make a quilt instead is brilliant! Love your little blocks.
