These cards are all from the Standard Sewing Machine Company of Cleveland, Ohio. The company formed in the late 1880s and was bought out by Singer in the 1930s.
The last card is a little different from the first 3, and a little harder to figure out.

Hmmm...I only get part of the last card. I never was good at this stuff. Oh well. Love the other ones.
ReplyDeleteI can't figure out the last one, the second to the last one, I know the last part is strike while the iron is hot, but the first part, branch key note lo fortune?

ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late in stopping by. I always look forward to your Trade Card Tuesdays but have been away from blogging due to a mishap! I have never heard of these types of trade cards. As usual, you have put together a very informative and intriguing post. I think they're quite clever.
